LANSING, MI – A surge of renewable energy supporters flowed into Lansing to tell state lawmakers they want utility-independent community solar projects to become a reality for Michigan.

Lawmakers took testimony Thursday, June 13, during a state Senate Energy and Environment Committee hearing. Speakers overwhelmingly supported a pair of bipartisan bills to allow such community solar projects for the first time in Michigan.
