NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Local company Sunbug Solar has won an award for its commitment to green energy.

Here’s more information from a press release from the company:

ReVision Energy is proud to announce that Sunbug Solar, which it acquired in November 2023, won the Sustainable Business of the Year – Green Energy Business Award, which was presented by the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts (SBN). The award honors eight leading sustainable businesses in Massachusetts that are committed to a local, green, and fair economy.

“The work that Sunbug Solar – and now ReVision Energy – does is necessary to reverse the impacts of climate change and creating a greener future,” said Laury Hammel, Executive Director at Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts. “Beyond their service to the community, it is clear that this team is committed to having sustainable business practices and fostering a fair and inclusive workplace for all.”

In addition to recognition for its work installing and deploying solar for homes and businesses, including SBN’s Cambridge office building in Central Square, the award also recognized the work of Nick d’Arbeloff, previously Sunbug’s VP of Commercial Business, who now serves as the Director of Market Development for ReVision Energy post-acquisition, in driving progressive solar policy and helping to shape key solar legislation.

“Creating a more sustainable future is at the core of our mission, and I am incredibly proud of the work that our team has done to achieve this recognition,” said d’Arbeloff. “It is an honor to be named alongside these other organizations, all of which are doing work to change the status quo of how business is done.”

The award was celebrated at the 2023 SBN Sustainable Business of the Year Awards event on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
