It is located in Hauz Khas Village, in the southern part of the city. Servotech Power Systems says its grid-connected solar-powered EV charging carport gives business operators a new operating model. They can replace their conventional last-mile delivery vehicles with EVs and comfortably use a fleet of zero-emission models.

The company doesn’t go into detail about the size of the carport or the specifications of the solar panels. Solar panels built into the roof of the carport power electric chargers, and after the EVs have charged, they can feed a battery energy storage system (BESS). Any remaining electricity flows to the power grid, reducing the load on conventional power plants.

Servotech Power Systems says customers can fast-charge electric two- and four-wheelers at its grid-connected solar-powered EV charging carport in under an hour. According to a picture the company issued with the press announcement, the system uses Servotech’s 30 kW DC charger.

The National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), the country’s premier solar organisation, and the German Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e.V. (BSW) collaborated to establish Delhi’s first grid-connected solar-powered EV charging carport. Additionally, BSES Yamuna Power Limited, a joint venture DISCOM between the Delhi government and Reliance Infrastructure Limited, cooperated with the duo in the pilot project.

Servotech Power Systems established the new charging infrastructure in the national capital under the framework of the KVP project, supported by Sequa GmbH, a German non-profit company.
