Spanish clean energy solutions provider Grupo Greening 2022 SA (BME:GGR) has sold eight solar farms with an aggregate capacity of 54.78 MW in southern Spain, exceeding its humble asset rotation target for 2024.

Spanish-German solar power specialist Amperiosol Renewables SL will pay EUR 47.93 million (USD 51.4m) for the plants, some of which are in operation and others under construction, Grupo Greening said on Monday.

The solar farms will be transferred to Amperiosol as they reach commercial operation date, which is expected to be by the second quarter of 2025.

The sale will generate a capital gain of EUR 205,000/MW, in line with the estimates provided in Grupo Greening’s strategic plan. The deal also allowed the small-cap company to exceed its 50-MW asset rotation target for 2024 by 10%.

Additionally, the strategic plan outlines a target for Grupo Greening to rotate 450 MW of wind farms in operation or in the final phase of construction by 2026.
