Harris County and the Texas Solar For All Coalition won nearly $250 million in federal funding to expand solar panels for local minorities.

On April 25, Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones (D-Pct. 4) announced that a coalition of six Texas localities, spearheaded by Harris County, had been awarded $249.7 million of the $7 billion designated to the Solar for All program.
