Vadodara: A 31-year-old man drowned in the Narmada main canal in Sama area of the city. Chandresh Agrawal was cleaning the solar panels atop the Narmada main canal when one of the solar panels broke and the man slipped into the main canal on Friday evening.
After onlookers reported the incident, a team of Vadodara fire brigade launched a search for the man’s body.The man’s body was recovered on Saturday evening.
Family members and relatives of the deceased said that Agrawal was involved in solar cleaning services by a private contractor. They alleged that the contractor did not provide any safety equipments to the workers. tnn
