New solar facility in Huntsville to add 70 jobs – Hville Blast

A new solar facility announced this past week by OMCO Solar will add approximately 70 jobs to the area. The company will lease a facility in the Huntsville West Industrial Park at 7620 Greenbrier Pkwy NW, Madison, AL 35756, according to a news release from the Alabama Commerce Department.

Here’s what we know:

OMCO Solar’s new $10 million solar facility

OMCO Solar, an Arizona-based manufacturer of steel structures for solar panels, plans to establish manufacturing operations in Limestone County. The $10 million project is expected to create 70 jobs in the area.

I’m proud that this great company, dedicated to manufacturing its products in America, has decided to expand its presence in Alabama and create additional career opportunities in Huntsville.”

The company manufactures solar trackers — devices that direct panels towards the sun — and fixed-tilt structures for solar arrays. OMCO now operates six U.S. plants, located in Arizona, Ohio, Indiana, and Alabama.

The other OMCO Solar facility in Alabama is in Talladega County.
