A sunny, windy day was the background for events to celebrate a pair of solar array projects for Pitt County Schools.

Representatives from the State Employees Credit Union and NC Greenpower joined school system officials for the ribbon cutting ceremonies at Lakeforest Elementary School and D.H. Conley High School on Friday.
